Starting at age nine, Taya spent five years actively involved in the Poway Pony Club, where she learned to ride dressage, hunters & jumpers, eventing, and the basics of stable management. She has kept her horses at home for 15 years, so she knows the care involved with horses. For three years, Taya trained with Jill McMinn, an eventing competitor who won the Open Preliminary Eventing Championship at the Fall Ram Tap Horse Trials in Fresno. Taya has attended clinics with Olympian Jill Walton (US Equestrian Team 1992) at her private ranch in Los Angeles. At Golden Eagle Farm in 2004, Taya exercised, rehabilitated, and ground-trained Thoroughbred racehorses.

Specializing in beginner to intermediate instruction for all ages, Taya offers horse & rider training in English, hunter/jumper, trail, and Western Pleasure.

She is active in the local county show circuits, showing on a regular basis, competing on the Open Circuit in Western Pleasure, English, Hunter Hack, Showmanship, Halter, and Gymkhana. Contact Taya at (858) 395-9064.
